I made this page to help the people who are from Any forum so you can have a better understanding of cell phone unlocking before you post information on their site that in my opionion should not be posted. There are no links on my site back to this page. You must use your back buttons.

First:
I will tell you that if you have any other brand other then Nokia except for the bb5 series which cannot be unlocked by anyone other then the original service provider for a nice fee if you want it unlocked. Second:
Phones like Blackberry, Motorola, Lg, Siemsems, Samsung, Palm Treos and the list goes on. These phones have a code that either need to be entered or the use of equipment to unlock. The codes are independent on each phone by IMEI or by the service representative. So, another code from a different phone will not work for your phone, and nobody I know is a mind reader so quessing these numbers will only leave you with a permantly locked phone. You only have 3-5 chances to get it right before you need someone with the equipment to unlock it. If You damage the phone while trying to unlock it. It will only cost you more money in the end. Why, because then your phone will have to be reflashed with the right files to make it work. Not cheap some people charge a 30.00 fee + the unlock fee for this service, and up for this service.

Third:
Posting your IMEI number on websites or the Internet is probably not a good idea since people who have equipment can use your number on another phone. Now I'm not saying they will but I wouldn't take the chance.

Fourth:
No one is going to give you this code for free ex-specially since the people who have equipment paid alot of money for it are not going to give away free codes or advice, and since they don't know the code till they use the equipment asking for codes is pointless.The people who can get the codes because they work for a perticular service provider are definitly not going to give you free codes either. Now there are sites that say they can get the codes and I never tried any because I don't trust giving my credit card information to these people. I don't know them, and how do you know 1 mth to 1yr down the road you suddenly just got taken by credit card fraud or identity theft, and its happening more and more. I try to tell people that send me emails to be wary of scams, and ex-specially on ebay. If it's to good to be true you know somethings wrong.

Five:
Be smart with your decisions to use any place that unlocks cell phones look for contact pages that list address and phone numbers to reach these people. Also if your going to go it alone with free programs or any other means and you mess up the phone remember you are the only one to blame. So, Post information only if necessary.
